LIVERPOOL striker Daniel James, who has been out with a hamstring injury for over two months, is set to return to the starting line-up against Munich on Saturday and could be in contention for a place in the team's starting XI.
James had been expected to miss out on this match due to his injury but was given the chance to play in the squad by manager Roberto Di Matteo after he recovered from his hamstring problem.
"I'm delighted that Daniel will be back to start today," Di Matteo said. "He is one of our most consistent strikers and we're looking forward to seeing him in action again."
The striker made his debut for Liverpool last season and has since scored 18 goals in all competitions for the club. He is known for his goal-scoring ability and his ability to score when he needs it most.
Di Matteo believes that James' return to the starting line-up will give the team a boost and that he can contribute to their attack. "We have a strong midfield with players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nemanja Vidić and we want to make sure they are available to us when they need them," Di Matteo said.
